Some interesting designs

Nice looking and space saving

Just cute

This makes cutting cake so much easier!

photo vs sketching

Which one do u prefer?

Screw art

Everything can be used to create an artwork!

Andrew Myer nails hundreds of screws to a wood panel and creates human portrait

Water colour paintings

My friend once told me that for water colour, you cannot apply the paint based on the colour you see; you have to mix the colours. I never managed to figure out how it works. However, it doesn’t stop me from admiring the beauty of water colour painting.

Out of all the above paintings, I prefer the two Chinese ink paintings (ops, they are not water colour paintings!).  Not because they are nicer than the rest, just that I like simplicity. It is amazing how people can create beautiful artworks with limited colour chioces.

However, I like the effects created by watercolour. I personally feel water colour is the best medium to painting impressionism style of paintings.

My friends and I want to try building somthing similar

Not so big in terms of scale, but cutter and more colourful

Random sketching

Personally feel these two designs are very pratical;

who dares to sleep in this sleeping bag?

… it looks very heavy, how to carry it to camp?

So you won’t get eaten by bear when camp in the forest

Yury bird

Extremely simplified photos…

His photographs are extremely simplified. They are so ‘clean’ that we couldn’t even find any irrelevant details. The sky and the ocean are always in the peaceful state and there is a distinct horizontal line separating them.

Surprisingly, although some of the colours in his photos are actually contradicting colours, I didn’t sense the awkwardness between these colours. The colours somehow achieve a harmony in his photographs.

I feel a sense of peacefulness when looking at his photos.

However, I personally feel his photos are too perfect; they are just too perfect to be real. His photo works are like surrealists’ artworks. They are only supposed to be found within dreams.

Everything is so peaceful and perfect in his works. I think I should go and get a cup of tea, sipping while admiring the photos…

Shadow art

The shadow art is really amazing!

It is hard to believe that those beautiful shadows are created by simple objects and lighting only. The artists skillfully manipulated the objects and created the incredibly realistic shadows!

The completed artworks are therefore comprised of both the solid objects and the shadows created by the solid objects.

look! The shadows are created by the objects, they are supposed to be the same thing, yet you can never relate these two items together individually. Sometime, it forces the viewers to explore the relationship between the objects that created the shadow and the shadow created by the objects.
